 On Friday, June 2 of 2023, the Seguin River Monsters took on the Acadiana Cane Cutters at 7PM CDT. The River Monsters started with a 2-0 score at the top of the first and never looked back. The Cane Cutters seemed to score only every other inning, starting in the bottom of the second. The River Monster players were confident and energetic, while the Cane Cutters only showed the ability to match that in small, short spurts. At the end of a long, three-hour game and after nine innings, the Seguin River Monsters won on the road in a stylish fashion, 16-6. The Cane Cutters will look to play their next game on Saturday, June 3 of 2023 at the Seguin River Monsters in a rematch, and their next home game on Tuesday, June 6 of 2023.
