Cane Cutters Win on The Road

 Lafayette, La. – The Acadiana Cane Cutters take home the first game of the three-day away series at the Seguin River Monsters winning 5-0. The Cane Cutters add another win to the win column, moving to 14-5 on the season.

 
The Cane Cutters offense scored all five runs in the seventh inning. The team had seven hits on the night with Justin Williams (LaTech), Logan McLeod (LaTech) and Cade Crosby (Nicholls) all recording two hits each for the Cane Cutters. Patrick Lee (William Carey) had one hit for the night.
 
Pitching stayed strong throughout the game for the Cane Cutters. Through six full innings, Ben Tate (Tulane) recorded no hits with two strikeouts and four BB. Following Tate was Connor Adams (William Carey). Adams struck out three batters of the Seguin River Monsters team and allowing them their only two hits for the game. Jay Ward (UTSA) finished the game for the Cane Cutters with recording one strikeout.
