Cane Cutters Crush Bombers in Hitting Master Class with 15-8 Series Sweeping Win

In the final home game of the regular season the Acadiana Cane Cutters put on a show scoring 15 runs to sweep the Brazos Valley Bombers on Wednesday night for a 15-8 win.

The bats jumped out early scoring 7 runs in the second inning along with a 5 run seventh inning to cap off the scoring affairs.

While almost every Cutter made an offensive impact, a couple players stood out.

Jake Farris reached five times going 3-4 with two walks, one RBI and two runs scored. 

Parker Gwyn would win Player of the Game with five RBIs going 2-4 with two runs scored and one walk.

Ethan Espiricueta would have back-to-back multi-hit games in his first series as a Cane Cutter going 3-5 with two RBIs and 2 runs scored.

Lastly, Colton Harrison had two RBIs out of the designated hitter spot going 2-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

On the mound Rayce Giddens picked up where he left off last time at Fabacher Field, going six innings allowing six hits, three runs and striking out three. Otis Brooks would hold in the later innings recording four outs only allowing a walk with no hits and striking out one. Parker Gwyn would come into pitch from second base to close it out.

Acadiana wraps up regular season play with a two game set at Brazos Valley and then on the road against the Seguin River Monsters. All games start at 7 PM. Cutters will then start the playoffs next Tuesday against the Baton Rouge Rougarou. Tune into TCLTV all week long to watch the Acadiana Cane Cutters on the road in Texas.
