Cane Cutter Roster Reveal (Part 2)![]() YOUNGSVILLE, La. - The Acadiana Cane Cutters welcome the next three returnees from the 2024 season. The fourth of six returnees is Trevor Durr, a junior catcher from John Melvin University. Durr, a native of Pelican, La., played 12 games with the team last season. In those 12 games, Durr bolstered a .316 batting average, recording 38 at-bats, 12 hits, six runs, and six RBIs. He was also walked 16 times. This season for JMU, Durr has played 48 games, and holds a .438 batting average, while recording 64 hits, 28 runs, 47 RBIs, and five home runs. Our fifth returnee is Austin Mills, a redshirt freshman playing infield from Jones College. Mills, a native of Lafayette, played 20 games for the Cane Cutters in 2024. In those 20 games, Mills racked up 13 hits, eight runs, and 13 RBIs, while holding a .200 batting average. Mills has not seen any action in 2025 for Jones College after suffering a knee injury prior to the season, but he said he looks forward to playing for the Cane Cutters again this season. Our last returnee is Hayden Toal, a redshirt freshman pitcher from LSU-Eunice. Toal, a native of Pineville, appeared in four games last season, all as starting pitcher. In those four games, Toal pitched 15.2 innings, held a 3.44 ERA, and racked up 15 strikeouts. For LSUE in 2025, Toal has appeared in 11 games so far, pitching 10.2 innings and currently holds a 5.06 ERA. Toal has struck out 14 batters so far.
