On July 11, the Acadiana Cane Cutters fell to the Baton Rouge Rougaru 10-4.
The Cane Cutters took the lead in the top of the first with a double from Rigoberto Hernandez, scoring Christian Hallmark.
However, Rougaru took the lead away after they rallied three runs in the bottom of the second.
During the top of the fourth, Parker Gwyn stole his way to third and ran home before their final out to close in on the lead, 3-2.
Isaiah Castaneda stole his way to second and scored from a single hit by Aarren Marshall in the seventh and Jake Farris scored the final run for Acdiana in the eighth.
Owen Schexnaydre pitched for the Cane Cutters and held Baton Rouge to only three runs after facing 16 batters and added two more strikeouts for himself this season.
The Acadiana Cane Cutters will travel this weekend to face off against the Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators. The first pitch will be thrown at 7:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on TCL TV.
