Lafayette, La - The Acadiana Cane Cutters fell to the Victoria Generals 1-0 in 10 innings of play on Monday night. The biggest storyline in the game was the stalemate in pitching from both of the teams’ starters. Generals’ starter and right hander Braylon Owens worked 5.2 innings with six strikeouts and only allowed two hits. Cane Cutters’ starter Payton Havard, a junior at Lamar, fired 5.2 innings as well with four strikeouts and six hits given up. Neither starter allowed a run. The Generals scored the first run of the game in the top of the 10th inning and the Cane Cutters were unable to answer in the bottom half of the inning.

The Cane Cutters' next matchup is on the road against the Brazos Valley Bombers on June 14th at 7:05 CT.
