Cane Cutters finish the Rougarou series on the road

 On Sunday, the Cane Cutters fell short in Baton Rouge against the Rougarou, 12-10.

In the top of the first inning, Parker Gwyn hit a home run to score the first run of the game for Acadiana till the Rougarou managed to score seven runs in the bottom of the inning.

While the Cane Cutters were down by nine after the third inning, Isaiah Castenada helped them stay close with RBIs in the fourth and fifth innings.

Colton Harrison added two RBIs with a single in the fifth inning before hitting a double in the seventh, scoring two runs, while Cody Breaux singled to bring in another run.

During the same inning, Castenada scored off an error made by the pitcher to keep the game close, 12-9.

The last run scored for Acadiana came from a single hit by John Maldonado Jr. to get Jacob Baker to score.

Kade Linn fished the night in the mound with four strike outs against ten batters in the final two innings.

The Acadiana Cane Cutters have a day of rest before facing the Brazos Valley Bombers at Fabacher Field on Tuesday. The first pitch will be thrown at 7:00 p.m. and will be live-streamed on TCL TV.
