For the first game back at home in a week, the Acadiana Cane Cutters start hot with the bats and shut down on the mound to take down the best team in the league in the Baton Rouge Rougarou 7-2.

A Payton Woods double put two runners in scoring position for a Colton Harrison sac fly and Aarren Marshall RBI basehit.

On the mound Rayce Giddens picked up where he left off last time at Fabacher Field, going seven innings allowing five hits, two runs and struck out one. Isaiah Castaneda closed it out with two innings for the hold, striking out three and not allowing a single hit.

With getting back in the win column, Acadiana plays again tomorrow night here at Fabacher at 7 PM for game two against Baton Rouge. Gates open at 6 PM or tune into TCLTV all week long to watch the Acadiana Cane Cutters.
