Cane Cutters Defeat Pump Jacks

The Cane Cutters took on the East Texas Pumpjacks Monday night, and while the game got off to a slow start, the wait was well worth it.  It began with a pitching duel,  Kaleb Manual allowed only 3 hits and struck out 6 batters in the 8 innings that he pitched.  Neither team scored until the bottom of the 6th, when Braxton Lee hit a double, and Mitchell Nau hit a sacrifice fly to score Lee.  Then in the 8th, when Alex Bubba Marse singled and stole second, and Barba singled to bring him in.  Rodriguez got on with an error, and then Nau singled, bringing Barba home.   Snowden hit into a fielders' choice, scoring Rodriguez as the third run of the inning, bringing the final score to 4-0, after the Pump Jacks were again held scoreless in the top of the 9th.
The Cane Cutters were able to add another win to their belt as the Pumpjacks were defeated.
