Why The Cane Cutters

WHY THE CANE CUTTERS?

The Acadiana Cane Cutters will head into the 2020 season as a ten-year member of the Texas Collegiate League (TCL). The TCL consists of five teams total: 3 from Texas, and two in Louisiana. Texas Collegiate League teams feature players currently on a college roster who have remaining eligibility. Playing in a summer league allows the college level players to showcase and improve their skills in a wholesome, minor league baseball atmosphere, allowing them to prepare for the next level.

The first home field pitch of the 2020 TCL season will be Friday, May 28th at 7:00 PM at Fabacher Field when the Cane Cutters host the Baton Rouge Rougarou. The 2020 season will consist of 28 home games that will be played from the end of May through the second week of August.

Fabacher Field is ready for the tenth season of the Acadiana Cane Cutters and season tickets are now available for purchase. From our website you can choose your seat, view the roster, check the schedule, and get to know this season's promotions.

When the college baseball season ends, the Cane Cutters' season begins. Fans will have the opportunity to see future major leaguers showcase their budding talent right here in Lafayette.  We may be part of the Texas Collegiate League, but there are no fans like South Louisiana fans when it comes to baseball. We hope you’ll come out and help show some “Acadiana Hospitality” to our players and visiting teams. We look forward to seeing you at Fabacher Field!
