Victoria, TX. (May 29th, 2019) The Acadiana Cane Cutters fell 4-3 to the Victoria Generals at Riverside Stadium in the first game of the season and of the road series.

The Cane Cutters took the lead in the top of the third inning when Drew Boyd (Southern Miss.) crossed the plate. Cordell Bowie (East Central University) lead off the fourth inning with a walk bringing Reed Spenrath (Texas A&M) to the plate. A wild pitch advanced Bowie to second base and then Spenrath got an RBI single scoring Bowie making it 2-0 Cutters.
