The Cane Cutters lost a tough game tonight to the Pump Jacks at Driller Park in Kilgore, TX. The Pump Jacks got off to a fast start against the Cane Cutters and never let off of the throttle.
The Cane Cutters (6-5) got a great win by the score of 10-7 against the Pump Jacks (8-3) in a game that was a battle. The Cane Cutters were able to capitalize on their seven hits and the nine errors put up by the Pump Jacks.
The Acadiana Cane Cutters Baseball team will open its season this Friday, June 1st, at 7:00 at Fabacher Field when they take on the Alexandria Aces. This year’s roster includes three returning players from last year’s team and five players from Lafayette and the surrounding areas.

Special promotions are planned each night at the ballpark for fans' enjoyment. “Slippery Sunday” -- kids can enjoy a free waterslide from 6-7:00, “Coke Kids Free Monday”-- all children 10 and under get in for free with an empty bottle or can of Coke. “Free Fun Jump Tuesday”-- kids jump for free all night. Wednesdays are “Ladies Night”, with $2 Margaritas and Wine. “Thirsty Thursday” will feature $1 can beer. “Fiery Friday” will have a fireworks extravaganza every Friday after the game and “Surprise Saturday”, could be anything.
