At Media Day, the Cane Cutters' Front Office revealed the exciting new additions coming to Fabacher Field this summer by releasing the 2013 Cane Cutters’ Promotional Schedule.

In addition to great collegiate baseball, headlining this season will be a variety of fun, interactive, and intriguing events beginning with Sonic Drive-In Opening Night on Thursday, May 30 at 7:00 PM.

Notable 2013 Dates:

Thursday, May 30: Opening Night served by Sonic Drive-In

Opening Night will feature the first ever Cane Cutters’ flyover with paratrooping first pitch from above. Be on the lookout for Opening Night pennants fixed on the speaker boxes of all Acadiana Sonic Drive-In locations.

Saturday, June 1: Scout Night presented by Knight Oil Tools

Don’t miss the rock wall, dunk tank, Fun Jumps, and other on-site activities courtesy of the Boy Scouts of America. All pre-ordered children’s tickets through the Boy Scouts of America Evangeline Area Council will receive access to all activities during the game, and postgame fun as well. Kids are invited to play kickball on the field, bounce in the Fun Jumps, and watch a baseball movie projected on the centerfield wall after the conclusion of the Cane Cutters’ game.

Saturday, June 8: Salute the Troops – Military Appreciation Night brought to you by Frank’s International and AMPOL

All current servicemen & women, veterans, and their families are invited to preregister for a special ticket offer through the Cane Cutters. Come out to see the historic military equipment on-site from the Louisiana Military Hall of Fame and Museum, Civil War reenactors and more!

Sunday, June 9: FM Bank presents Bark at the Park

All fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to Fabacher Field for a dog day of summer celebration during our home baseball game. The St. Martin Humane Society will also be at Fabacher with adoptable animals on-site.

Friday, June 14: Aspen Clinic Night at the Ballgame

Bring your glove and stay after the game to throw the ball on the field with family, friends, and Cane Cutters' players under the lights!

Saturday, June 22: Eddy the Cane Cutter Bobble Head Night Giveaway provided by Knight Oil Tools

The first 400 fans through the gates will score a fantastic 7-inch Eddy the Cane Cutter Bobble Head.

Friday, June 28: Paul’s Jewelry Diamond Dash

Over the course of May and June, Cane Cutters’ fans will have the chance to win a Paul’s Jewelry Diamond Dash ticket to be one of the select participants in the Paul’s Jewelry Diamond Dash slated to begin before the gates open. Hidden on the field will be a beautiful diamond necklace fashioned in 14 karat white gold, with 75 points of fine, quality, brilliant cut diamonds.

Friday, July 12: Hollywood Night hosted by the Hampton Inn & Suites

The first 100 to enter will receive a free pair of shades to complete to their Sunset Strip style. All fans will be treated to a night of delightful scores and tunes from the best films of all time and a special introduction of the Cane Cutters’ starting lineup.

Saturday, July 20: A Special Evening in the Roaring Twenties

Fire up your jalopy, dust off the old bowler hat, break out the flapper dresses, and let the Cane Cutters take you back in time nearly a century. Enjoy an evening filled with 1920’s style public address announcements, music, photographs, promotions, press releases, and more.

Wednesday, July 24: Lafayette Coca-Cola wishes you a Merry Christmas Eve in July

Bundle up for a festive evening of Christmas songs, games, and giveaways in July! There might even be an appearance by a certain jolly elf who will be vacationing in Lafayette that day. So bring your most up-to-date Christmas wish list and ask for a Cutters' win on Christmas Eve in July!

Saturday, July 27: Acadiana Superheroes Night presented by Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center

Help Our Lady of Lourdes and the Acadiana Cane Cutters host and celebrate the true heroes of our community: firefighters, police, EMTs, and other emergency responders. 

Sunday, July 28: Faith & Family Night

Joel Sparyberry and the Trinity Bible Church worship team will be at Fabacher Field for a special pregame set. Spiritual worship music played all night with 20% of the ticket preorders going to the Bridge Ministry of Acadiana.  

Wednesday, August 7: Shirt off the Back and Fan Appreciation Night presented by C&G Boats

Wrap up the 2013 regular season by wrapping yourself in an authentic Cane Cutters’ jersey. Fans will have a chance to take home game-worn Acadiana Cane Cutters’ uniforms from their favorite players.
