CANES DOUSE THE MARSHALS 11-0

The Cane Cutters took on the McKinney Marshals tonight at Fabacher, and after a rain delay the contest ended with the Cane Cutters on top, 11-0.  Sean Kennel got the win in what was a pitching contest until the 5th inning when Alex Marse walked and then scored on Isaac Rodriguez’s sacrifice fly.  Then Mitchell Nau hit a home run, scoring Braxton Lee, and the score was 3-0.
 
Then in the 7th inning, Rodriguez walked and scored on Nau’s fielder’s choice.  Snowden singled and after the pitching substitution, Woods advanced to 1st on a dropped 3rd strike.  Then Seal singled and scored Snowden.  In the rain, Marse was hit by a pitch, Barba singled, Rodriguez singled, and by the end of the inning, the Cane Cutters had scored another 7 runs.  In the 8th inning, the Cane Cutters managed to get another run, and the final score was 11-0, Cane Cutters.
 
The teams will face off again tomorrow at 7:00 at Fabacher.  Tuesday, August 7 is redemption night, so any unused ticket from the entire season will get you free admission in a seat close by.  Also Tuesday’s action will include free Fun Jumps for the kids all night, sponsored by Duhon’s Fun Jumps. 
 
 Also we will be having our Jersey Off the Players’ Back night, where lucky fans can win one of the special Fiery Friday Jerseys the players have worn, courtesy of C&G Boats!!
This will be our final regular season home game, so be sure to come on out to cheer on your Cane Cutters as they make a grab for the playoffs here at the end of the season!
