The Acadiana Cane Cutters are excited to announce the addition of two more players to our 2019 roster. Joining from the University of New Orleans, we have junior Darren Willis and joining the team from Northwestern State University, we will have freshman Nik Millsap. We are excited to have them on our team and we look forward to watching them in action!

Darren Willis is a junior originally from Metairie, Louisiana who has played infield for the UNO Privateers for the past three years. He stands at 5’9 and weighs 170 pounds and is majoring in science. During his time with the Privateers, he produced a career batting average of .245 with one homerun, two triples, ten doubles, and 39 RBI. In the 114 games he has played in, he started in 105 of them, appearing at bat 400 times and scoring 49 runs.

Nik Millsap is a freshman right-handed pitcher from Southlake, Texas who joins our team from Northwestern State University. He is majoring in Health and Exercise Science. He is 6’3 and weighs 185 pounds. During his time in high school, Millsap helped lead his baseball team to the Class 6A state championship. He was named to the state all-tournament team and was a second-team all-district first basemen. His overall batting average during his senior year in high school was .333. Millsap wants to play in the MLB one day, but if that doesn’t work out for him, he plans to attend medical school to become a doctor.
