DALLAS, Tx. (June 27, 2018)- The Acadiana Cane Cutters traveled to Dallas for a mid-week game against the Texas Marshals. Bats were blazing for the Cane Cutters, who took the win with a score of 13-5.

Cole Secrest (Lamar University) continued his hot streak by going four for five with four RBIs. He was a triple shy of the cycle with a walk, two singles, a double, and a two-run home run, as well as making some great catches in center field. The triple did come for the Cane Cutters off the bat of Koi Westbrook (LSUE) which cleared the bases in the sixth inning.

Michael Leaumont (ULL) pitched a quality game against the Marshals, throwing six scoreless innings with four strikeouts.

The Cutters open up a four-game home stretch starting tomorrow (6/28) with the Victoria Generals. Tomorrow is Thirsty Thursday! It is $1 beers all game long! Gates open at 6 PM and first pitch is at 7 PM for all home games.  To get weekly updates on the team and other fun theme nights coming up, please visit our website and subscribe to our newsletter.
