The Cutters Come Up Short in Series Finale

06/23/2018 8:49 PM -

BRYAN, Tx. (June 23, 2018) The final game of the 4-game road trip featured the Acadiana Cane Cutters against the Brazos Valley Bombers. The Cane Cutters once again started the scoring early with an RBI sacrifice fly by Koi Westbrook (LSUE) in the 1st inning. Chandler Morris (Texas A&M) scored on the play after reaching base on a walk earlier in the inning.

Matthew Beck (LSU) got the start for the Cane Cutters. The Bombers had a hard time hitting Beck as he struck out 7 batters and allowed 2 hits in 4 innings on the mound. Morris had the strongest bat tonight for the Cane Cutters with 1 hit and 1 run scored. Despite the strong efforts from the Cane Cutters, the Bombers won the game 8-1.

The Cutters will be back at Fabacher Field for a series against the Texarkana Twins tomorrow (6/24) and Monday (6/25).  On Sunday, we are celebrating Eddy’s birthday.  All mascots in the area are invited to the birthday bash!
