Cane Cutter Fall Short

06/02/2018 9:33 PM -

YOUNGSVILLE, La. (June 2, 2018) The Cane Cutters drop the first game of the series to the Brazos Valley Bombers by a score of 6-3.  The Bombers kicked it off by scoring two runs in the first and second inning.  The Bombers later added to their lead in the third and fifth innings and scored their final run in the seventh.

The Cane Cutters managed to get two runs in the fifth, the first of which was scored off an RBI single by second basemen, Brandon Duhon.  The Cutters scored another in the eighth but fell short of the rally.

“We lost but we competed all the way to the last inning,” said Coach Joey Satriano.

When asked on how the team can improve against the Bombers in tomorrow’s game, Coach Satriano said they can cut down on defensive mistakes and throw more strikes.

Come out and support the Cane Cutters tomorrow as they take on the Bombers again at Fabacher Field.  The gates will open tomorrow at 6 PM and first pitch is at 7 PM.  Also, there will be a FREE waterslide for kids before the game starts!
