Nine Cutters Win End of Year Awards

Youngsville, LA (August 17, 2017) Acadiana was well represented on the end-of-year awards ballot, finishing with three first team All-TCL selections and six second team selections. Brady Bell (Nichols St), Daniel Lahare (ULL) and Logan Bottrell (New Mexico St) were the Cane Cutters three first team selections.

Bell won the TCL hitting title with a batting average of .358, 49 hits, and 3 bombs. Right behind Bell was future Ragin' Cajun, Dan Lahare. Lahare finished the summer campaign with 9 more hits then Bell but a .356 batting average. Bottrell was not too far behind the league leaders in hitting himself, his .328 was enough to tie the 4th highest batting average in the TCL. 

The Cutters finished with half of the second-team votes, as Cain Castille (C-McNeese), Handsome Monica (DH-ULL), Gavin Bourgeios (OF-ULL), Gabe Montenegro (OF-Southern Mississippi), Keith Meier (SP-Baton Rouge CC) and Austin Brown (RP-LaGrange) all earned recognition. Montenegro and Bourgeois both finished the season within the top venta cialis generico five in the TCL in a number of offensive categories, while Meier and Brown finished tied with each other for third in the league in the Complete Games category. Monica and Castille were both constant threats to get on base, finishing with on-base percentages of .368 and .430 on the summer respectively.
