08/15/2016 12:36 AM - The Brazos Valley Bombers beat the Acadiana Cane Cutters, 4-0 in front of a packed house at Mumford Stadium in Mumford, Texas. The Bombers got on the board first in the bottom of the second when Spencer Hemphill hit a sacrifice fly RBI to right field to give Brazos Valley an early 1-0 lead. Brazos Valley added to their lead in the bottom of the fifth as Logan Bottrell and Anthony Herrera hit back-to-back RBI doubles to give the Bombers a 3-0 lead. They wouldn't stop there as Zack McGuire had an infield RBI single to make it a 4-0 contest. Acadiana pitching hadn't allowed a hit in the game until one in this inning.
