Cutters Win in A Big Way

07/20/2015 8:27 AM -

Your Cane Cutters have now won 2 straight as they beat the Woodland Strykers 15-0. This moves your Cane Cutters to 6-8 and the Strykers to 4-10.

The starting pitcher for the Cane Cutters was the Hunter Medine (University of New Orleans). Medine pitched 7.0 innings allowing 2 hits with 5 strikeouts. He had plenty of run support behind the potent Cane Cutters lineup.

With Chance Vincent (University of Alabama), 3-4 with 3 RBIs,  on second base after a double up to the plate came Adam Yacek  (Miami of Ohio). Yacek, 2-2 with a homerun and 3 RBIs,  then hit a deep shot to left field that cleared the fences for a 2 run homerun and the first of the season at Fabacher Field.

Run continued to pour in as in the very next inning the Cane Cutters managed to score 3 more runs to push the score to 5-0 after 2 innings

Then third inning was nothing new as another run would come across to score to make it 6-0. It started with Connor Short (University of Alabama), 3-5 with 2 RBIs, reaching on a single. Alex Tucker (Nicholls State) would then double and Connor Short would score on an error by the Strykers.

The fourth inning was another huge inning as 5 more runs would come across to score making the score 11-0. Evan Williams (TCU) and Daniel Keating (Southern Miss) would both single to start the inning. Chance Vincent would then hit a sac fly to score Williams. Kyle Knauth (Nicholls State) would then have a pinch hit single to score Daniel Keating. 3 more runs would come across to score off of a mixture of Cane Cutter hits and Stryker’s errors.

The Cane Cutters were not done there as 2 runs would come across to score in the bottom of the fifth and sixth innings to make the score 15-0.

Your Cane Cutters will be in action again this Tuesday Night at Fabacher Field. It will be MLB Night so come out and support your favorite Major League Baseball team. The first 40 paid men will be entered to win a Texas Ranger Prize pack which includes 4 tickets to the September 19th matchup versus the Seattle Mariners in Arlington Texas.
