After a 7-6 win against the Bomber last night, the Cane Cutters would look to add another game in the win column against the Marshals.

University of New Orleans product Jared Taylor would get the start on the mound for the Cane Cutters this evening. He would match up against his counterpart Jake McKenzie for the Marshals

The Cane Cutters got off to a hot start as they took a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the third.

Chance Vincent (University of Alabama) drove in Cameron Cummings (University of South Alabama) for the first run of the game back in the first.

This week’s TCL player of the week, Zak Kutsulis (Notre Dame), started the third off with a double. TCL All-Star, James Ziegler (Chandler-Gilbert Community College), would drive him in off of a single and bring us to a 2-0 ball game.

The Marshals’ bounced back and showed offense of their own, knocking in three runs in the third. They would also score at least one run in the 4th, 5th and 6th inning, making it 7-2 heading into the 7th.

Jalen Haskins (Pearl River Community College) lead off with a single and would come into score off the bat of Kutsulis; making the game 7-3 in the 7th

.

The game would finish off at 7-3 as the Cane Cutters fall to a record of 4-3 (overall 19-13).
