 The Acadiana Cane Cutters, well into the second half of their season, return to Fabacher Field on Tuesday July 15^th , for a big home stand. The festivities get started that day vs. the Texas Marshals, when the first 400 fans will receive a team photo courtesy of the Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission. Fight Sports of Broussard is also scheduled to conduct a pregame demonstration. The series continues on July 16^th , as there is slated to be a pre-game “baby derby” courtesy of Baby Boot Camp Lafayette. It is also “Middle Child Day” where middle children will get in free, with the purchase of two tickets at regular price for their older and younger siblings. LARC will also be having a fundraiser at this game, and fans are encouraged to bring their old Mardi Gras beads for a bead drive they are conducting. Both games start at 7:00, and the gates will open at 6:00.

On July 17, the East Texas Pump Jacks come to town for a two game series. The 17^tt will feature the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Ragin Cajuns softball team, which advanced to the World Series this season, being recognized in a pre-game ceremony. The softball team will also help the Cane Cutters with their annual “media challenge” when members of the media will have a chance to take a few swings against the pitchers from the UL pitching staff before the Cane Cutters game that night. On the 18^th, in addition to Gerami Academy conduction a pregame demonstration, the first 400 fans, with a paid ticket to that night’s game, will receive a Lyle Mouton bobble head doll courtesy of Nursing Specialties, Inc. Both these games start at 7:00 as well, and the gates will also open at 6:00.
